i love this little stereo system unfortunately what it arrived damaged with a hairline crack on the face it was minor damage and i debated if i should even return it but ultimately decided to try and get another undamaged system if the new cereal arrives undamaged it'll modify this review to 5 stars the sound is good but not mind-blowing but for a moderately priced unit i think it's satisfactory the design is absolutely beautiful it's not real wood but appears to be some sort of high quality plastic laminate the speakers are not permanently attached so if you wanted longer speaker wire or different speakers it's easy to modify the cd player loads fast and works great the fm radio is the best unit i've ever had the placement in my house had always been a difficult spot for radio reception so i was really pleased with how well i could pick up stations my ipod classic works perfectly with
