The Ken-A-Vision CoreScope 2 cordless, monocular compound microscope is 3/4-sized, has coarse and fine focus, a round, floating stage, LED lighting with dimmer and on/off switch, a 10x widefield eyepiece with pointer and reverse-mounted 4x, 10x, 40xS DIN achromatic lens objectives with humidity and climate control protection, and is designed for biological use and educational applications. The monocular head has a fixed 45-degree incline and 360 degree rotation for comfortable viewing, and a total magnification up to 400x. Separate coaxial knobs for coarse and fine focus provide sharp focus. The floating stage has clips to hold the slide in place and a stop to prevent slide damage. The built-in bright and cool white LED light has a dimmer and on/off switch for a range of lighting options. The single-cast aluminum body has a built-in, retractable, carrying handle for strength and durability, and a rechargeable NiMH battery (included) enables the microscope to be used away from power sources.
