Kenwood KRA-26M VHF Helical Antenna 146-162 MHz

[Music] oh let's move this out the way looks like we've got somewhere to work i've cut two already i need to cut another two um or another three in total what i'm doing is cutting um 50 centimeter long lengths of i believe this is six millimeter aluminium tube okay um and the reason i'm cutting the tube is because i'm going to be building a two meter wide band antenna that's the two meter band that is one four four through to 146 only this antenna hopefully will work from 143 all the way through to 147 megahertz with a particularly nicely low swr throughout the entire bands i don't know if you remember or if you watched a previous video based on the skylab well this particular two meter antenna is going to be based quite literally on that antenna i'm building a two meter skylab uh two meter balance kind of for the one four four megahertz and to start with i'm going to need five lengths
