Product review & video
[Music] hey folks I'm Jean de la sala president of audio holics today I want to review a Yamaha a vintage AV receiver for you guys because you've been asking we deliver so we got this model right here it's the RX a 860 it's about the second or third model from the bottom down about $1,000 retail and it's a 7.2 channel or 5.2 point two so you could do at most with two high channels they rated at 100 watt 2-channel times seven but as you know and as we've been talking about these Atmos receivers of getting power inflating up the ying-yang lately and usually these receiver companies rate them at one kilohertz or they weight about 10% this one actually is rated at full bandwidth at 100 watts of channel we did some bench tests on it the bench tests were not spectacular okay $1000 receiver from 10 years ago gave you different bench test results than they do today okay you can read our report
