right welcome back is it cracking on this this is my Diamondback ascent which probably might have seen the build video and it's got cantilever brakes and for me cantilever brakes are possibly the worst kind of mountain bike brake that you could use and you can tune them for a little bit so that's what I'm gonna do today the main thing I believe about these cantilever brakes to improve to improve the braking is going to be choosing the right kind of pads these are still got the single compound M system had some which they came with and they're okay but they don't stuff that well like you can't just grab the brake and say lock up the rear wheel like you could do with a disc brake or even a V brake and that they're kind of more the more sponging anything all these cantilever brakes and the compound is one of the things that we can do to improve it the other thing is the stiffness of this h
