[Music] [Music] hey guys once again welcome to the IBM lab and this time we're looking at a super-rare machine that I was very lucky to find the IBM ThinkPad 535 was only produced for the Japanese market it was available in may 1996 as a successor of the 530 I could find very little information about this machine even with the dedicated Japanese Wikipedia page now interestingly enough this was advertised on eBay as for spares and repairs due to a non-functional screen and indeed when I first turned it on the screen didn't work but then when I did it for a second time for this video [Music] surprise a note here is that for this video I left laptop exactly as it arrived I didn't even clean it up but more on this later and as you can see everything is some Japanese I showed this to a friend who speaks Japanese just to make sure there is no personal information that I'm showing as it would
