Hi this is Graham from Jenham's Astro
last week i made a short video using this telescope the starquest 102
mc and i had a look at mars and photographed the red planet
just as it came to opposition this week i'm going to do the same thing
again using its big brother the skymax 127.
so basically we're going to compare the images we get
of mars using a 5-inch maksutov with a 4-inch scope and otherwise
everything's going to be the same we're going to use an equatorial mount
two times barlow an atmospheric dispersion corrector and
an asi 120 color camera so let's see how the two scopes compare so have we got better results imaging
mars with a 127 rather than the 102 well yes and should
we have done yes it's no real surprise that aperture
wins but another comparison that's useful is
to see that this scope here in the uk costs 250 pounds and that's just for the optical tube assembly
