today I'm going to replace this ethernet cable that is hanging on my wall with a wall plate and a Levitan quick connector plug in Jack for the wall plate now the way this works is there's two different connection methods you can use and the color codes are shown on the bottom of the jack itself so for instance I always use a there's two different protocols the important thing is whichever one you use if you be along this edge or a along the bottom one just make sure that you wire the other end of your cable in the same format so we can see here the pins are marked pin four hopefully you can see this four six eight and seven and I'm going to be using the a method the one at the bottom so four is blue and six is orange eight is brown etc so first thing I want to do cut this cable let's hang it at a wall in such a method as I leave myself enough to work with here so cut that cable off rid
