hey this is derek with b-todd i'm going to show you how to drill a grommet hole on a laminate top a few things you're going to need is some blue painters tape a tape measure if you need to measure and then a power drill with the proper size hole saw the first thing that we do is make sure that you measure the hole that you're going to need with the grommet so this one that we have standard with our b todd tops is two and three eighths so we got a two and three ace hole saw okay the next thing you want to do is you want to kind of get your approximate area where you want to lay out your hole we're going to try to match that hole over here so it's like two inches in and eight inches from that side so you're going to want to lay this down where you want to put your hole you can be liberal with it too you can put a few layers if you want to be extra cautious we'll just kind of double it up
