Marantz SR6005 Audio Video Receiver (Black) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

hi and welcome to duality repair this is the marantz sr 8000 - a visa round receiver it's in near-mint condition but as you can tell by the blinking standby light it has a problem so if I try and power this on doesn't let me do anything thankfully there is a very thorough and very helpful service manual for this and it gives us some information on what to do when we have these sorts of problems so the first thing we want to do is trying to reset the error and see if it comes back so we have to press the pure direct 7.1 channel input and clear buttons and hold those for three or more seconds to clear the alarm so let's try that and you can see the alarm cleared briefly the screen came on for two or three seconds and then it quickly shut back off and we have the same strobing standby light with apparently the same frequency so the problem is repetitive which is good so we'll know when we
