okay when you're ready to buy your first telescope it's best to do your homework always if possible go to your local astronomy club and when they have a star party check out the different designs to be a reflector refractor or catted optics which are the mirror lens system they have mirror and lenses combinations and see which one suits your purpose by looking at them and touching them in talking to people you'll get a much better idea and then look at the different manufacturers what's the differences between the various ones also you can tell if there's any issues with them by actually looking and touching and you know you can read reviews but sometimes I have to ask myself how honest are reviews and some of these astronomy magazines that when those same companies have full-page ads in the front and back and now they're supposed to get an honest review so always do the research for yo
