I previously made a video that talked about 3 popular colored pencil brands – Prismacolor Premier, Caran D’Ache Luminance, and Faber Castell’s Polychromos. In that video, I was pretty open in discussing the flaws I discovered in Prisma and that although I loved how easy it was to blend their colors and how affordable the sets are, I wasn’t a fan of Prismacolor’s poor lightfastness and quality control problems. I received comments and messages, some affirming the points I made because they experienced those issues too, and some asking me, “If not Prismacolor, what cheaper options are there?” So in this video, I’ll explore Arteza colored pencils.
