this is the other type of microscope that we will be using occasionally in lab this semester not very often but a few lamps will call for it this is a dissecting microscope made by Leica and dissecting microscopes have similar components to what we would see in compounds but they're much simpler so this is what it would look like as you were taking it out the cord would be neatly wrapped you'll notice the orientation is the opposite of what we saw before with a cord in the back and then the open stage in the front and more of the controls in this area with the ocular lenses now for this let me move over and show you here we can actually adjust the ocular lenses like we did before for the inter ocular distance and these microscopes do have a diopter adjustment as well that we can use to be able to adjust for differences in vision between the left and the right eye so you will be able to
