hi this is mark from show me cables and today i'm going to show you how to terminate a three-piece in-male crimp connector for lmr 400. this is a three-piece crimp connector which means there is a pan ferrule and connector housing for today's installation i'm going to need lmr 400 coax cable a soldering iron and solder the in crimp connector a coax strip tool and a crimp connector to begin take your coax strip tool rotate around the outside of the jacket to strip back both the jacket and the dielectric this gets your cable prepped and ready for termination after removing the jacket peel back the braided shield and fold it on top of the jacket then slide your ferrule over the braid and on top of the jacket take the crimp pin insert it firmly onto the center conductor and using your soldering iron attach it to the center conductor push the connector housing over the dielectric all the way
