They do a great job of reducing low-frequency noise but they are not designed to completely cancel voices. Bluetooth wireless play relies on battery power. The i9 needs to be fully charged before first use. If the device they are trying to pair the Naztech i9 with cannot deliver a strong signal (old devices/devices with low-latency), then no matter the quality or type of headphones, they will not pair well.
