hello everyone this is Colin in this tutorial we will talk about a fiber optic pigtail what is a fiber optic picture look at the picture on the left this is SC UPC single-mode fiber pigtail a firmer picture is a piece of fiber with connector installed on one and only the outer end of the fiber is open now look at the picture on the right fiber with pigtails are used to terminate fiber cable this is done by fusion splicing and terminated fiber with a fiber pigtail this cable has 12 fibers under a single jacket each fiber is terminated by splicing with one picture 12 pigtails in total five our pigtails are color-coded for easy identification but first twelve pigtails the color code is shown in the table here so the first pigtail is blue the second is orange the third is green etc etc the picture on the right shows 12 as CAPC single-mode color-coded pigtails there are many different types
