hi I'm James and in this video I'm taking a look at replacing the LCD on a Dell Latitude e55 40 laptop and so what we have is this machine the screen has been cracked internally so we're getting that corruption on the screen so what we need to do is we need to begin by prying along the bottom edge of the screen now because the screen is already broken we don't really have to worry too much about any damage to an existing panel so we are just going to use the metal pry tool there just to get in and begin lifting that now we will put the plastic one in I'd normally avoid using a metal tool for fear of scratching the screen but in this case I just needed as this one is a little bit dulled I need to get some new pro plastics really and so I just use that to get in there so we start along the bottom and then work our way around from here if we now go up the sides it's possible that fingertip
