hi and welcome back to fluid X today we are going to show you how to do a basic oil change on a two stage rotary vane vacuum pump to change your oil you only need a few items first an oil pan or any makeshift container to capture the vacuum pump oil a channel lock wrench funnel and some absorbent pads or rags to keep the area clean and to clean parts from old oil to drain the oil use the channel lock wrench to loosen and remove the drain plug after the drain plug is removed unscrew the oil fill plug for faster draining remember to tip the pump to remove as much oil as possible next use a clean funnel to add new vacuum pump oil make sure to clean and dry the ports and plugs with a clean rag always use a high quality vacuum pump oil I know this is obvious but replace the drain plug before you pour the oil back into the pump as you fill the oil reservoir keep an eye on the sight glass for
