good evening and welcome to the 2021 nhl draft [Music] the nhl draft is both the closing event of one season and the opening act of another well it's been challenging for for everybody obviously in the last two years with not having combines in buffalo and in-person interviews but the work that our staff has done to gather all the information necessary has been tremendous extremely proud of what they've done last year's draft and prepping for this year's draft also obviously with the uh the virtual side of it and not having a personal touch but the the number of zoom interviews that's been done uh the um additional reaching out to gather as much information as possible to make really good decisions it's uh it's different than past but um i think going through it once last year certainly gave us some knowledge on how to work after 16 months filled with uncertainty the san jose sharks hop
