has this ever happened to you sometimes it just does no it does but fortunately it's really easy to replace sure is and this is what you're going to need now your first step is actually going to the store and getting the part you want to have that before you begin because what if you got the mechanism all disconnected and you're replacing the cable and then for some reason the hood gets closed you wouldn't be able to open it again so again step one get the new part using a pair of pliers grab ahold of which you can on your release cable and give it a pull well now that you got the hood open good idea to take something in this case a roll of duct tape and put it someplace where the hood won't close and relax just in case and then you wouldn't be able to get it open again alright now here's your hood latch and it has a cable that runs right along the front here along the inner fender well
