The Ohaus VX32XW5000X VX conventional floor scale has a capacity of 5000 lb. and an accuracy of 1 lb. (also called readability). The durable welded steel platform has structural bracing and includes a tread plate with a raised cross-hatch surface for slip resistance. The four sealed load cells, which are made of nickel-plated alloy steel and rated to IP67 level of protection against dust and short periods of immersion in water, are housed in a plastic junction box built to United States NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standards and rated to IP65 against dust and low-pressure water jets. The included T32XW indicator with 304 stainless steel housing has a large backlit display that tilts, for clear readings in either bright or dim lighting conditions. A 25-foot cable allows the T32XW indicator to be placed where it is most readable, out of the way of the platform, and mounted on a table or wall using the integrated bracket.
The scale tares and weighs in five different units. Applications include weighing and parts counting for inventory and warehousing needs. This scale is pre-calibrated at the factory and has an internal gravity-correction feature that adjusts the factory calibration to local conditions. The built-in RS232C port on the indicator enables easy connection to a computer or printer, and printing intervals can be set to manual, continuous, on stable weight, or at any user-set interval between one second and 60 minutes. This scale is powered by the included AC adapter or the internal rechargeable battery. The scale is manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 standards, and when used according to manufacturer’s recommendations, is covered by a one-year warranty.
