hey everyone this is Gary from GS lighting solutions and welcome to a special how-to tutorial in this video I'm going to show you how to make a DMX cable from a cat5 cable let's go so here are some of the things you'll need to make the DMX cable you'll need a piece of cat5 cable to dmx heads one female in one male who needs wire strippers and wire cutters you'll need a vise or something to hold the connectors then you'll need a soldering iron and some solder it doesn't take a lot of soldering but it does take a little bit so you will have to to work a little bit with the soldering iron alright so first thing we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and take the DMX connectors and we'll take them apart all right so now that we're done we're gonna go ahead and take our cat5 cable and we're going to cut off both ends so all you're left with is to cat5 ends all right so now what we're g
