Orion 08267 Ritchey-Chretien 8 inch F/8 Optical Tube Assembly (White)

hi I'm Kent with Orion telescopes and binoculars and this is the Orion 8 inch RC or Richie Creighton Astro graph reflector it's an 8 inch f/8 so that's 1600 meter focal lengths are see that's the Astra graph design it's not a cast rayon it's not a straight reflector it's a very specialized Astro graph it's got very highly corrected optics so very flat field no coma ideal for medium-sized galaxies nebulae imaging with your DSLR or CCD camera it's optimized it works great with the crop size DSLRs but it also will work with 35 millimeter format as well so let's take a little closer look and see some of the features the biggest thing about this telescope is the optics itself so I'm going to rotate the telescope so you can see the front of the telescope so the first off is the first thing you notice is there's no corrector so that's a big advantage I think over a standard Schmidt Cassegrain
