hello I'm Ken with Orion telescopes and binoculars and these are the shore view 8 by 40 twos they have a nice wide 6.8 degree field of view something you really can't do if you go up to higher magnification so the eights are excellent for daytime nature watching birding taking to the sporting event you get a nice wide field of view at a nice 8 magnification the lens caps are captive so you're not going to lose those when you take them out of the box and it's also got a very long IRA leaf so if you're using these with glasses you just rotate the cups down and you'll still be able to see the entire field of view even with your glasses on the orion shore view 8 by 42 s you
