Description
One look at the Orion EON 110mm f/6.0 ED Apochromatic Refractor and its slick gloss-black machined optical tube and you'll know this is an exquisite telescope. This black beauty occupies a desirable sweet-spot for telescopes, especially if you're interested in deep-sky imaging or wide-field observing. The EON's generous, 110mm (4.3 inch) aperture gobbles up photons from faint deep-sky objects and offers ultra-crisp images and great color correction by virtue of the FLP-51 element of extra-low dispersion (ED) optical glass in its air-spaced doublet objective lens. The apochromatic refractor's 660mm focal length gives the EON 110mm ED a fairly fast, f/6.0 f-ratio which performs exceptionally well for wide-field visual use or deep-sky astrophotography. Not only is the EON 110mm ED Refractor a great wide-field performer, it's also delightfully compact and measures just 21.5 inch with its sliding dew shield retracted for easy transport. Unlike heavier, bulkier astrophotography telescopes, the EON 110mm ED needs only a medium-sized mount to support it. Take a closer look and you'll find even more to like about the EON 110mm ED. The refractor's optics are fully multi-coated for maximum light throughput so you'll get the most out of each and every photon collected by the telescope. The EON 110mm features a robust, 2.7 inch hybrid-drive rack-and-pinion focuser which outperforms most Crayfords we've used. The Orion EON 110mm f/6.0 ED Apochromatic Refractor Telescope comes with two very substantial hinged tube rings which each feature multiple, pre-drilled and tapped M6 holes along the top and bottom for convenient dovetail mounting plate attachment. An aluminum-clad hard carry case with a die-cut foam interior is included to keep the EON 110mm ED safe and clean during transport and storage. The hard case measures 28.25 inches x 9.25 inches x 9.5 inches.

Product review & video
hi I'm Ken with Orion telescopes and binoculars and on top of the serious man here we've got the Orion 110 II D a pro chromatic refractor it's a 110 millimeter refractor at 660 millimeter focal length that's f6 so it's a nice wide field telescope for either imaging larger nebula for viewing with a two inch eyepiece you can get a very very wide field of view and then with the IDI glass in it you can also also push it to very high power and the image holds together very nicely so let me go through some of the features and show you more about it so the most important thing with this refractor is the IDI lens it's a IDI doublet meaning one of the lenses is made out of FPL 51 glass which is a low dispersion glass which means at high magnifications or looking at bright targets or a combination of both you don't get that false color of fringing you do with a standard a chromatic refractor an i
