[Music] in bino 101 part 1 we discussed how to read the naming scheme of binoculars and how that can affect the viewing experience in this part 2 we'll delve a little bit deeper by talking about the different types of binoculars that you can choose from and how to fit them to your needs we'll start with the oldest type of binocular poro prism as you can see the optical path is offset in a zigzagging pattern the key here is that all the reflective surfaces in the pore prism are completely reflective kind of like a mirror losing no light which helps make the manufacturing process easier and the image quality quite high and because the eyepiece and the objective lens are offset you'll get better three-dimensional viewing when using poor prison binoculars there are a few downsides though mainly that the size of the poor prism itself is quite large causing the overall binocular to be bulkier
