hello my name is Gary Zagorski I'm a product manager for copper cabling you're at panduit to start out with our category 6a matrix cable we've offered this product for a number of years now or we're continuing to refine it the construction of the cable has a special foil and I'll foil around all four pairs the foil is discontinuous so we take our laser engraving equipment and we engrave lines and to break up the foil so it's discontinuous what that does is it gives us performance extreme category 6a alien crosstalk performance but it does not have the negatives that a shielded cabling solution has shielded cabling yes you have to ground at both ends if you don't have the same potential on both sides you could possibly end up with a ground loop problem plus shielded cabling typically takes longer to install longer to an to terminate so our category 6a matrix cable is again discontinuous
