This Panduit SD4EMI noise shield kit is suitable for shielding runs of sensitive communications cable or electrical conductor from EMI/RFI noise interference caused by other cables or ambient sources. It provides up to 20 dB of noise reduction caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RMI), or up to 90% noise voltage reduction (NVR). The shield is made of zinc-plated steel and is segmented in 2" sections for flexible installation options. It has horizontal slots to accommodate cable ties for securing cables along the run. Its vertical surfaces extend 3.86" from the base and have black powder coating for resistance to abrasion and corrosion. Its mounting surface is uncoated for electrical conductivity of the shield body. The kit includes two 3' shield sections, bonding clips for ensuring electrical conductivity when the kit is used with Panduit 4" shielded wiring duct (not included), and anti-oxidizing paste for protection of conductive surfaces. This noise shield kit is suitable for protecting sensitive runs of communications cable or electrical conductor in data centers, industrial settings, offices, and other environments where electrical noise is a concern.
