Seamus Riley joining me today Parkland College President dr. Tom Ramage welcome
to the Parkland report always good to be here Seamus well that's great always to
do a start of the year at kickoff lots of things but in October that are going
on but in October because we didn't want to start too early let's talk a little
bit about the primary thing that we were concerned about for the last couple of
years and that is the state funding and what we where we're at now with the
state and maybe some good news obviously the state got itself together late
spring and produced a budget for the state of Illinois this year which is
fabulous for Parkland College fabulous for all of higher education actually in
that we were paid much of what we were owed last year came a little bit too
late to actually spend it so we put it obviously right into savings and that's
