using an iPad outdoors on a funny day it's nearly impossible to see the screen you require a hood the good hoods eliminate sky reflections from the screen to date I haven't seen anyone sell these so I built my own here is how it works take off this smile it piece of cardboard is what's unique about my hood is that it's angled straight down hood you will just see reflections on the screen it acts like a mirror by using this at an angle these only see reflected black surfaces on the screen which makes it very easy to see outdoors screen is turned up to full brightness here we are outside and you can see that you can still see the image quite nicely without the hood the amount of reflections are terrible the lower part here is where you get sky reflection by tilting by moving the hood at the right angle you get a very good view of the screen this shows you the angle of the hood as it sits
