The newly improved PRIME IV imaging engine, assures flawless, high-speed operation and excellent noise-reduction, improving image quality and super-high-sensitivity imaging performance. The PENTAX-developed Pixel Shift Resolution System has been upgraded to the Pixel Shift Resolution System II. This system features a newly developed Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution mode, which allows the photographer to capture super-high-sensitivity images in handheld shooting, by detecting the slight fluctuations of the subject’s position during continuous shooting. In addition to the conventional shooting style using a tripod, this innovative mode provides a new option for the photographer to enjoy super-high-sensitivity photography with a wider variety of subjects and scenes. The camera also comes equipped with a host of features and functions designed to optimize the photographer’s creativity and operational comfort, including a dependable magnesium-alloy body with dustproof, weather-resistant construction; an optical viewfinder with a nearly 100-percent field of view for real-time subject confirmation; a sophisticated shake-reduction system; and a flexible tilt-type LCD monitor to accommodate various shooting angles.

hey so I'm out here at the dog mountain trailhead in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon Washington border and I've brought with me the Pentax k12 so pretty excited to go shoot this this is a great landscape camera thanks to its pixel shift high resolution mode but also I'm really excited to try out this lens this is the brand-new 50 millimeter F 1 point 4 SDM aw its pen taxes new high-end normal focal length prime really really excited to get to shoot this it's not quite a landscape lens but let's see what it can do the K 1 mark 2 is built around the same sensor as the original K 1 offering 36 megapixels in fact there is very little that's actually new on the mark 2 a Pentax developed accelerator unit acts as a sort of preprocessor between the sensor and the image processor to supposedly reduce noise and increase dynamic range so that's new but according to other independe
