hey everybody and welcome to my first of like five or more videos on the Pentax KS - this is a digital single-lens reflex camera it has a multi so so what that means is it has a single lens on the front and the light for your image comes in through the lens when you look through the optical viewfinder it's bouncing off a mirror and into a prism and then out the viewfinder when you take a picture the mirror pops up and then the light goes straight to the sensor this has a multimode meter and what that means that is the meter has to be modes there's one where it looks at the entire image and determines the best exposure based on the entire image there's one where it uses just the center area to calculate 60% of the exposure and then 40% or 7525 I'm not actually sure what the split is on this camera but the center part portion of the image contains a greater amount of the metering data for
