The Pentax PF-65EDA II 65mm Spotting Scope is an improved version of its predecessor and is designed for high-precision outdoor viewing. It has been improved in minimizing color aberrations that adds in producing truer colors. It uses 1.25 inches diameter eyepieces which allow less compacting of the light shaft produced by the objective lens. In addition to the brilliant offerings from Pentax, it means you can use the best of astronomy eyepieces from elite telescope manufacturers such as Meade, Celestron and of course the venerable Tele Vues. The scope features a focal length of 390mm, so if you're using conventional 1.25" eyepieces you divide 390mm by the focal length of your eyepiece to determine the effective magnification. Pentax ED scopes function brilliantly in many conditions of light and climate, and are remarkably light thanks to their metallic alloy housing. With a 45-degree slanted lens barrel, the PF-65EDA offers hours of comfortable, fatigue-free viewing. This spotting scope also feature a compact, lightweight body with nitrogen-filled waterproof construction (JIS Class 6), a collet-type eyepiece receptacle for an American-standard 31.7mm (1.25 inch) sleeve, a protective rubber housing, and accessible reach by either hand.The extendible rubber lens hood comes with a sight line to facilitate target-line adjustment. To optimize the performance of these new spotting scopes, PENTAX has developed three compact, high-performance XF-series eyepieces, all featuring a bright, high-contrast image, an American-standard 31.7mm sleeve and focal lengths ideal for outdoor viewing and bird watching. The smc PENTAX XF8.5 and XF12 are standard unifocal eyepieces, offering a focal length of 8.5mm and 12mm, and a magnification of 46 and 32.5 times, respectively, with a 60 degree apparent field of view and a long 18mm eye relief. okay this is the first video I've done for YouTube in over a year now I'll be demonstrating Pentax PF 65 ETA to spotting scope she's a real nice scope I have obviously UV filter fitted on from what I like about this scope is it takes inch and a quarter telescope eyepieces this particular one is a 24 mil Explorer scientific 68 degree roughly gives me about 15 times magnification but the 68 degree field of view is absolutely epic absolutely brilliant Wow what I've done with this Pentax Q and the original Pentax zoom lens basically the zoom spotting scope eyepiece the XF 6.5 to 19.5 now on the Pens excu I have the oh one prime lens with various step up and step down adapters have touched her to the filter ring we see the screws directly onto the eyepiece back on that a bit chilly today you can still see me in the shot alright so did you scope in we take our Explorer scientific eyepiece out
