Hi, Wayne here from Headsets Direct. A quick video on why you need the
Plantronics 26716-01 Cisco
cable. So first off, here is the cable, and it's about 8 to 10
feet long, so it gives you good reach from your phone, and this cable, again the 26716-01,
is specifically made for most Cisco
phones. Now you need to check compatibility, because older Cisco phones require an amplifier, but newer phones
worked with Plantronics, so they could build the amplifier into the phone, and you can use just this cable. So the
cable's less expensive than the amplifier. The only negative of going just for the
cable, you don't have any way of controlling your
out-going voice volume. So as long as you have the average voice volume, you should be
fine. If you have a quieter voice volume, you may want to consider looking at one
