Just like Matthew Polk's Signature Reference Theater (SRT) system, the components used in the RT Series benefit from Dynamic Balance, a technology which came out of a joint research project between Polk Audio and Johns Hopkins University. This laser imaging research enabled Polk to view on a microscopic level the entire vibrating surface of a driver or tweeter. By this method Polk was able to observe the resonances, which develop on speaker cones as they move. These resonances are the root cause of frequency response distortions.

[Music] hey I'm jr. and I'm here today with norm one of our sales advisers and we're here to talk about the poke RC line of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers there's some of our best selling in ceiling and in-wall speakers we've ever had I think you told me you sell them all the time I sell them a lot and they I'm also an installer and a designer and these speakers are my favorite out of the last couple of decades of installing easy 50 percent of these I use Polk speakers so let's talk about what makes them great first off the woofer is the Polk dynamic balance Wolford they've been making this woofer for many years and if it's not broke don't fix it and they use them here and there in wall and in-ceiling speakers and it sounds great it's got a rubber surround which makes it great when you put it in say a bathroom or a kitchen where there might be some moisture yes very useful also useful
