hi I'm Stu vice president of research and engineering and I'm going to show you how to teach your pulk soundbar the commands from your TV remote this process will work on the Polk Audio sound bar series 2000 through 9500 also if you have a cable or a satellite remote those could be taught the same commands that are for your TV and then they'll all control the sound bars the Polk Audio sound bars receive their remote commands via IR or infrared transmissions some remotes use RF or radio frequency transmissions in those cases there's an adapter that can be used to transmit the remote commands directly to the sound bar first let's teach your sound bar to respond to the volume command on your television remote while we're doing this ignore anything that might be displayed on your TV screen make sure the sound bar is turned on and the power light is lit green press and hold the learn button
