Pomona 5697-72 Bnc (M) Cable with O Boot

okay so this is just a quick demo to show you uh variations in cable quality and why i kind of really only trust pomona cables this is uh the calibration cable that goes actually with this spectrum analyzer and i'm going to turn on the tracking generator so it's basically showing insertion loss and i'm going to take the amplitude and change the scale let's see so that we can see going too much so we can see more the variation in uh the insertion loss over frequency and this is going up to 2.9 gigahertz uh so that's that's a normal that's the actual cable that you know comes with the spectrum analyzer to calibrate it um and then i'm gonna pick up a pomona cable um put this one in there and it's roughly the same in terms of uh characteristics going across that frequency uh i'll get uh um another pomona cable that's longer because that was a short one the previous one okay connect this one
