a quick tutorial today on how to scan with some of the new canon multifunction devices if you look under the scanner lid you'll notice there's a couple of tabs underneath that you can use to remove the white transparent background under the lid when you take this thing off what you'll notice behind it is the hidden scanner mechanism there's actually a tray that you use to mount your film and/or slides for scanning and if you remove this from the top of the backplate you'll see there's an insert to put in film that's the darker insert in the middle and for today's tutorial we're going to scan some slides so I'm going to go ahead and remove the tray that does the film scanning and put that aside because we're not going to use that today we're just going to use the grey part of the scanning tray to scan slides and this has a couple of different 2x2 inch locations to hold slides so what you
