hi drew here from Garmin's customer care department in this video we're going to discuss tracks on the rugged and user-friendly etrex a track is an electronic breadcrumb trail that shows you where you've been in the past track logs are made up of multiple track points that are created along the recorded path each point contains information on time location and elevation we'll be using the etrex 30 but the process is the same for the etrex 20 and the etrex 10 to record a track from the main menu use the thumbstick to highlight and select setup then choose tracks select track log to choose from the different recording options to view your track on the map screen while actively navigating select record show on map you can also set how often you'd like to have track points recorded keep in mind that while recording at shorter intervals will provide the most track detail it will fill up the
