i work mostly from my car and was using a 12 volt to 120 volt converter with a loud fan then plugging my laptop's power supply into that converting zone to 19 volt that seemed a bit ridiculous especially putting more strain on my car's electrical system and the laptop supply now i'll leave this in my car and don't have to worry about forgetting the power cord i brought this fuse with my dell xsp 9360 2017 model i have this connected to a 12v lead acid battery for use in the field during astrophotography sessions the smaller of the two connectors is a fit for my laptop anyway it works perfectly even during 15 degree weather i was looking for a proper dc charger as opposed to an inverter because the high frequency components of the inverter's waveform can be damaging to electronics unless you use a very expensive pure sine wave inverter my laptop cannot seem to tell the difference between
