hello everybody today we're going to take a look at wiring up a c13 locking iec connector which looks like this um so this is cool this is a little bit of a more heavy duty version of a regular c13 connector it's got this cool little pull tab at the back that actually locks um locks the connector by pulling on the ground pin um and it's a really nice upgrade if you've got a rack or a piece of gear or a monitor or something that's hanging that you don't want the power to come come undone so this particular project we're making a 50-foot power cable for a customer so this is just a 16-3 heavy-duty sjo cable the locking iec and then just a heavy duty um mail edison so this is for a server rack project actually and they just requested that this was the uh the input power for it it's not very big um so this is it so the first thing we want to do is just take this connector apart um so there'
