okay so when headphones fail it can be quite frustrating sometimes the signal world you'd be coming out of one side or maybe the signals crackly or maybe there might not be any sound at all but thankfully headphones are actually really easy to fix so what you'll need is a replacement 3.5 millimeter headphone jack now these are quite easy to get hold off you can find them on ebay and in hardware stores I recommend metal ones if you want to have something robust but the plastic ones are decent enough as well so once you've got this you'll need to get yourself a soldiering iron and some solder and you'll also need some wire cutters scissors and pliers and finally you'll need some electrical tape and a damp piece of sponge or cloth which is going to be used while soldering so the first thing to do is cut off the old faulty headphone jack now we need to do is get your wire cutters and strip
