if you have installed a new cartridge and you observe the printer error cartridge problem then it is possible that the internal printhead may have a bent or damaged contact pin or pins when the cartridge is installed these pins make contact with the internal printhead to verify pin condition remove all four ink cartridges and using a flashlight carefully inspect the internal printhead contact pins for visible damage each pin should be protruding outwards as shown if the pin is bent down it is possible to gently pry it back up with a small screwdriver if a pin is broken then the printhead will need to be replaced you should also verify that there are no scratches or defects on the cartridge's microchip other printer error messages which could signify a printhead problem include ink cartridge failure cartridge damaged printhead failure the following cartridges are not intended for use in
