what's up YouTube I'm back is Damien and today what I'm doing it's a little bit different than the other formats too that I normally do on this channel I normally just concentrate strictly on rap vocals but I have had subscribers ask me with all of the microphone reviews that I'm doing what is my next step up said I grab this microphone stand I grab that microphone so what I'm doing is in this video what I'm doing is showing you what it would sound like to add an external preamp to your current microphone to possibly get the most out of what you currently have so in this video I'm using the audio technica at2020 and I'm using it with the focusrite scarlett 2i2 the third generation and what I'm looking to do is basically take this microphone and put it on an external preamp so that you can hear the quality of an external preamp which is the preamp that I'm using is it's called the studio
