hi this is Zach with vortex optics today we're going to talk about the best way to attach an aftermarket strap that won't fit your vortex binoculars most attachment kits for aftermarket neck straps come with some assortment of either metal rings and nylon zip ties but it's important that you follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific product for example a common way this is done thread the zip tie through the strap attachment loop place a metal ring over one end of the zip tie you can then pull the zip tie securely closed next you want to attach the strap to the metal ring and finally any excess zip tie can be trimmed off it's important to note never attach your metal ring directly to the binocular metal rings acting like a saw can cause serious damage to your binocular even causing the binocular strap loop to completely break off if you have any additional questions we're
