Product review & video
Hi. This is Mark from Show Me Cables. And today I'm going to show you how to terminate
a TNC male connector for RG58. For today's project we're going to need RG58
coax cable, a three piece TNC male crimp connector, coax stripper and crimp tool. To begin, slide the ferrule on top of the
jacket. Take your coax strip tool and remove the jacket
and dielectric. By using a coax strip tool, you can remove
both at once. Fold the braided shield on top of the jacket. Slide on the center pin and the connector
housing. Make sure to slide your connector all the
way onto the cable and it's touching up against the jacket. And slide up the ferrule. With adequate pressure, crimp the ferrule
onto the jacket. This pinches the jacket and creates a secure
connection. Give it a slight tug to make sure it's properly
seated. And you have successfully crimped this connector.
