okay this is our 2014 mini cooper s and unfortunately in 2014 the new f-56 generation you can only get a normal screen a non-touch screen setup so that's fine uh considering you know a lot of 2014 cars maybe didn't have touch screens at the time and fortunately when we bought this car used uh the previous owner had opted for the the 8.8 inch larger display uh another thing that comes with the 2014 car is that it doesn't come with apple carplay as standard in fact it wasn't even out in 2014 as far as i know so there are ebay and aliexpress sellers that sell these aftermarket carplay boxes and i wanted to document the uh sort of ownership of one of these and how they work installation was pretty simple this bezel comes off this glossy plastic bezel there are a few screws holding the head unit in the whole head unit comes out there's uh this piece here pops out just clips and then it allow
