all right today we will be disassembling an HP omen 17 gaming laptop this particular model is the omen 17 - a and 0 1 2 DX but most of the HP omen 17 series will be identical so first we will go ahead and flip it over and just remove the bottom screws it looks like about ten of them and then we should be able to appear inside the laptop ok once you get the screws out except for these two which are internally retain we'll go ahead and use a straightedge to remove the bottom cover from the rest of the laptop and so once you have it started with the straightedge and just work your way around it and undo the little snaps around the perimeter and then you have the bottom case cover off and then you can have access to the internals of the laptop alright as always the first thing we're gonna do is unplug and remove the battery so for this type of connector just use your fingernails underneath
