this is a video tutorial and how to replace the screen on a lenovo el 540 ThinkPad laptop as you can see the screen is all blank but when I press on it I can get an image but it gradually fades away again this could be two issues this could be the cable that connects the motherboard with the screen it runs through these hinge these hinges on the side this one specifically and it's a common failure point or it could be the screen itself now I've narrowed it down to the screen itself specifically the connector where the cable hooks up to the screen is bad so just to replace it we're going to power down and I'm just just for safety I'm gonna take out the battery don't want to turn it on while I'm working on it now the first thing you're gonna do there are little sticky back tabs here and here now normally there'd be two but I'm missing one so what you're gonna do is you want to take someth
