hi I'm Toba with Professor pincushion and today's tutorial is going to show you how to add a zipper pocket to your projects ever start a project and think that it could be improved with the addition of a zippered pocket is actually quite easy to add on and this method can be used for most projects whether it's a purse jacket or backpack there's no reason why you can't have as many pockets as you want let's go ahead and get started the first thing I'm going to do is cut out a piece for my pocket so that's what this fabric is the width is going to be two inches longer then your zipper and I'm talking about the zipper teeth not the zipper tape so this is a seven a zipper so I made this 9 inches the length is going to depend on how deep you want the pocket to be when it's finished so let's say I want a four inch pocket I'm going to double that and make this about eight inches cut out an ide
